  • Abstract
    In this paper, a custom systematic approach to HW/SW co-design process targeted for Altera Nios softcore processor systems, is presented. A custom tool COMET, which has been developed in order to support the design process, is also introduced. The advantages and disadvantages of the co-design approach are analyzed and future improvements of the design process are proposed. The design process is demonstrated on an example.
