Abstract
In this paper, a new power flow tracing method is presented. It calculates load share factors, i.e. the consumer shares in generator productions. Presented algorithm is appropriate for real and reactive power research and with small modifications, it can also be applied to allocation of production among consumers. A new tool for system operation and control promises to be effective for protection against voltage instability and transmission congestion management. It could potentially also be used to modify the existing tariffs of charging transmission losses, reactive power and transmission services.
