Abstract :
We give an overview of existing power and bit allocation loading algorithms in multicarrier systems, as well as we introduce our own algorithm. Our proposed algorithm maximizes the bit rate using suboptimal power allocation that yields maximum signal-to-noise ratio on each subcarrier. We aim at maximization of data rate under the constraint of total transmit power. The proposed algorithm is appropriate for OFDM systems in a time varying wireless channels because of its low computational complexity.
