Quality assurance for primary healthcare information system in Croatia

The use of modern information and communication technologies creates an opportunity to improve the quality of healthcare. There are many initiatives and projects especially supported by the EU e-Health program. It refers to the use of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) to meet the needs of the citizens, patients, healthcare professionals, healthcare providers, as well as policy makers. The quality of e-Health solution is one of the most important issues. This paper describes the quality assurance approach applied in the development project for primary healthcare information system in the Republic of Croatia.
