Abstract :
Localization of the sound depends on many factors like time and level difference between the ears, "duplex theory", spectral information, movements of head. People perceive sound in three dimensions. Also localization of sound depends on the way the sound waves differ from each other as they reach the left and right ear. This localization can be described by a complex response function the head related transfer function (HRTF).
