Abstract :
We propose a number of line-source models for magnetoencephalography (MEG). We derive forward solutions, maximum likelihood (ML) estimates, and Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) expressions for the unknown parameters. We also apply our methods to real MEG data, the N20 response after electric stimulation of the median nerve, known to be an extended source. It is observed that the line-source models represent the N20 generator better than the focal model.
