Abstract :
SiOx nanowire bunches were obtained on Ni(NO/sub 3/)/sub 2/*6H/sub 2/O solution deposited Si(111) substrates. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) shows that the SiOx nanowires are amorphous and sometimes form a core/shell structure with the crystalline core containing Ga, Ni, Si and O, and the amorphous shell containing Si and O.
