Abstract
In this contribution we investigate, both theoretically and experimentally, the effect of lasing wavelength and optical feedback loop loss on the performance of all-optical gain-clamped (AOGC) lumped Raman fibre amplifier (LRFA). As a criterion of the AOGC LRFA, we selected a suppression of surviving channel power fluctuations. The LRFA used for the experiments and the numerical analysis consists of 13 km of counter directionally pumped dispersion compensating fibre.
