Abstract :
In this work, a heuristic UTD solution is proposed for the primary ray contribution to the surface fields on a circular cylinder with an IBC by investigating analytical similarities and differences between modified forms of the UTD based asymptotic and paraxial solutions. The proposed solution analytically reduces to the former and latter solutions along the azimuthal and axial directions, respectively. Analytical findings will be presented for the proposed solution
