Abstract :
A MEMS-based electronically steerable switched parasitic antenna array has been fabricated and preliminary measurements have been taken. The antenna pattern can be steered by 180 degrees. The simulated antenna gain is 5.6dB at a centre frequency of 2.4 GHz. The measured S11 phase is similar in shape to the simulated result, but shifted in frequency due to the influence of a ground plane in the test setup.
