Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a phase array laser planar structure manufactured on the base of two dimensional photonic crystal active material. In order to determine transverse distribution of laser modes, we develop new semi-analytical supermode analysis for the structure consists of N-coupled planar waveguides channels. In our approach we assume that the individual waveguide channel can support a single mode only. With the help of this model the output power characteristics are obtained revealing optimal values of the structure parameters and reflection coefficient of the end mirror which provide maximal power efficient for given structure parameters
