Abstract :
Because of their dimensions, metal-coated carbon nanotubes can be used as conducting parts of miniaturized infrared antennas. When closely spaced along a parabolic contour, CNTs can form a planar reflector capable of focusing an incident EM wave into a focal point. In this work, to fabricate the planar reflector, plasma enhanced vapour deposition (PECVD) is utilized to vertically grow CNTs along a parabolic curve on a silicon substrate.
