Abstract :
The paper is intended to explore a possibility to apply scaled radio measurements in estimation of real multipath propagation channel characteristics, such as impulse responses and corresponding autocorrelation functions. Naturally, the influence of estimated permittivity error on usability of such a procedure is supposed to be the main problem. In order to provide an insight in this issue, ray-tracing simulations of two typical multipath scenarios have been compared with corresponding scaled measurements. It has been concluded that, in order for a scaled measurement to be reliable, the permittivity issue with reference to the considered radio environment must be properly addressed
