Abstract :
The objective of the work reported was to develop a graphical interface that would be able to represent and manipulate parallel programs written in conventional high-level languages. The result of this effort was SISKIN (symbolic immediate system-to-kernel interface), which is in the form of a directed graph and serves as an intermediate level between a high-level language and a code generator for a parallel machine. The attributes of SISKIN are the ability of top-down design, modularity and stepwise refinement, so it can be used as a programming language as well.
