  • Abstract
    A design technology for raster-to-vector conversion of images is discussed. It was found in the authors´ research design process that general-purpose vectorizers yield unacceptable results when applied to maps. The results found for vectorization for the type of map described helped to select a vectorization technology for other kinds of maps.
