  • Abstract
Instrument transformer production is based on customer demands. One way to speed up reply to customers and, at the same time, to reduce mistake possibility, is to leave old approach to design and construction process using 2D CAD software and start using 3D CAD software to make 3D models of instrument transformers. This paper shows Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire software possibilities in designing and construction of instrument transformers. The article also presents experience of one established instrument transformers manufacturer including some problems that occurred during implementation of new approach into already existing development - production process of instrument transformers
