Abstract :
Around 65% of all generated electrical energy is spent on electrical drives for industry and home applications, so industry encourages development of technologies to bring dramatic improvements to low cost single phase motor systems with greater electrical efficiency. In order to incorporate practicality, manufacturability, and affordability into competition process, adjustable speed motor system costing less than US $40 for a 500W unit, with achieving maximum efficiency and operating requirements, maintaining acceptable levels of performance, reliability, and safety is presented in this paper. Use of el. circuit MC33260 for power factor control, which reduces higher input current harmonics, is explained in details
