Abstract :
We propose a teaching framework for linking student learning of essential topics throughout electromagnetics (EM) courses that is enhanced by carefully incorporated CAD tool-based teaching strategies. Although portions of our framework are intuitive and widely used, the ever-present challenge of teaching undergraduate EM courses illustrates the need for and potential value of formalizing this approach in an organized fashion. Results from a student questionnaire demonstrate the benefit of using CAD simulations to enhance the synergy between the different teaching framework components
