Abstract :
Ultrawideband radar imaging techniques are currently being studied as a promising tool for breast cancer detection. In this paper, we are proposing two different arrangements of the "dark eyes" antenna for sensing the cross-polarized reflections from the breast. The antenna is planar, compact and the arrangements can be used to form a cross-polarized antenna array. The use of either arrangement should be very promising for polarimetric radar-based imaging of the breast
