Abstract :
Effective control of machinery plants enforces the use of new control methods such as production scheduling, flexible manufacturing structures, simulation modelling and others. These new methods should be introduced in machinery on a larger scale. The transition to new planning methods is accompanied by appropriate control tool selection. The author deals with a case study of a flexible manufacturing system and methodological aspects of simulation modelling based on the simulation language GPSS and user friendly simulation system SIMFACTORY.
