Abstract :
The present paper deals with the hydrothermal coordination problem by using a very efficient method of multi-pass dynamic programming with successive approximation. The long computation time and storage memory requirement are reduced. The generation can follow any load shape of load curves. It is not required to start with initial feasible solution and infeasible problems can be detected systematically.
