Abstract :
An adaptive fuzzy controller models the qualitative control actions of a human operator. It is applicable to systems for which explicit mathematical models are not easily obtainable. Qualitative control actions are modeled by using fuzzy relational equations in the form of "if...then..." rules. This article gives the details of an adaptive method based on Lyapunov synthesis approach to optimize the combination of fuzzy relational equations by modifying the relative rule weights.
