Abstract :
Modulation is defined as an additional rule in the sliding mode control algorithm, which allows the selection of the inverter output voltages. The base of the modulation rule is sliding mode control working stages and optimization criteria, which enable the optimum choice of inverter output voltages. This work presents the case of the output voltage modulator of a three-phase bridge inverter feeding an AC motor drive. The modulator is implemented with fuzzy controllers in the sliding mode. The membership functions and defuzzification process are also described.
