  • Abstract
    A new, simple procedure for noise figure measurement of SATV converters in the complete band of the interest, which successfully eliminates systematic error caused by presence of coax/waveguide adapter is proposed in this paper. Besides standard noise figure measurement equipment, this measurement procedure requires three coax/waveguide adapters with unknown characteristics, too. Complete measurement procedure is controlled by a PC AT compatible computer. A great importance of the proposed method is confirmed by noise figure measurement results of the for the typical SATV converter
