  • Abstract
Application of microwave attenuation meter operating at 9.4 GHz for continuous on-line monitoring of moisture content in low-hydrated (6 up to 14 %) organic materials (potato chips, chicory slides, sugar beet pulp) has been presented. Radiating horn antennas are located inside a metallic container, which provides a continuous flow of the material as well as a stabilization of its density. Accuracy of measurement of ?0.4% H20 has been obtained, providing the effective control of dryer in industrial plants.
