  • Abstract
This paper presents a comparison between two active power factor correction methods. Active power factor correction can be realised using a variety of converter topologies. The boost converter is used in this paper and a direct comparison between two circuits that realise the borderline current mode control and the average current mode control is presented. Also, the experimental results are given in order to highlight the benefits of using one or the other method for a high power factor correction performance.
