Abstract :
In this article, some aspects of power line communication (PLC) and specific problems of hardware PLC modem design are discussed. Typical properties of power line networks are analyzed. Interface between PLC modem and electronic electricity meter was designed and experimentally tested. The end of this paper is dedicated to improving of design efficiency by using PC simulations of devices intended to communicate through PLC modem.
