Abstract :
The paper described radiation pattern calculations for one type of a vehicular antenna. Both currents on a car body and their radiation were calculated using the electromagnetic simulator Zeland IE3D. Two simplified models of the antenna system based on replacing antenna wires by an unsymmetrical V-dipole and their mirror images were created for technical applications as well. Radiation patterns obtained for those models were compared to Zeland simulations.
