Abstract :
This paper proposes usage of microwave radiation for turbine blades health/maintenance status monitoring in the course of the turbojet engine operation. It shows that it is possible to measure blade motion components using a special microwave probe, based on the homodyne detection concept. Examples of signal received from the probe during ground tests of the SO-3 turbojet engine are presented and analyzed.
