Abstract :
Downlink in multiple antenna systems has been usually modelled as a multiple input single output (MISO) channel in order to analyse system performance for each single user. However, a multi-user approach can obtain global performance results and, therefore, can be more useful in order to improve efficiency in system resource management. In this paper we present a multi-user approach for multiple antenna arrays distributed around the cell which are transmitting to multiple users within the coverage area, thus, considering a MIMO channel. Performance analysis of this kind of system has been previously carried out for perfect channel estimation. In this work we intend to analyse the effects of partial Channel State Information (CSI) over different reconfiguration strategies for distributed antenna arrays.
