Abstract :
This paper presents the offline identification process to identify the parameters of the dynamical model of a stepping motor with a permanent magnet. The proposed method identify the higher harmonics in flux distribution generated by the permanent magnet, cogging torque harmonics and friction coefficients from given experimental data for the stator currents, rotor position and rotor speed. The identification process is theoretically developed and verified by the simulations.
