Abstract :
Capacitor voltage transformer (CVT) is a complex product for which characteristics are in details defined by international standards. This product is a maintenance-free device used in power system, which must work by principle: install and forget about it. That is the reason why its calculation and design are of crucial significance. Additionally, wide range of different customer requirements forces design of CVT to be accurate and with quick response. On the other hand, global market competition forces manufacturer of CVT to have reliable and economical product. Design of CVT based on computer tools, presented in this paper, makes it possible.
