Abstract :
The environment of insulating system in which making switch functions is air and atmospheric pressure. Air is applied as isolation and as extinguisher. Insulating system applying air is characterized by the lowest electric strength to breakdown. Despite the fact that insulating system applying air and atmospheric pressure is characterized by the lowest electric strength to breakdown from among other dielectrics which are applied in insulating systems, it has also some advantages.
