  • Abstract
    The bitumen which is an irreplaceable material of construction industry, especially in transportation, has become a primary field of research with the improvements in material science technologies, in order to build more robust and reliable roads and buildings. It has become a standard procedure to add several types of materials into the bitumen. Testing the modified bitumen is extermely important to maintain high quality and to inspect malpractice during construction. In this work a new method is presented which is an alternative to mechanical methods. Textural properties of modified bitumen images are investigated, and it was observed that it is possible to identify what type of material is added to the bitumen at what percentage.
