  • Abstract
    The paper presents novel sensorless method of rotor position detection without any mechanical sensor. Described method bases on inductance variations connected with poles position. The rotor position is obtained by applying one voltage pulse only. Efficiency of presented method has been confirmed by laboratory tests on Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Motor. Moreover described method can be used to startup the permanent magnet motor from standstill in certain direction.
