Abstract :
This paper presents a method for estimation of a direction of displacements of deformable template nodes in vector fields. Appropriate displacement vectors are determined using singular value decomposition of Jacobian of a field, computed at nodepsilas location. The derived direction can be used for updating node locations if vector information stored at a node does not match local properties of a field.
