Abstract
The following paper reports the final stage of project being conducted in automotive industry that was already presented as work-in-progress paper at ISOMA 2006. The aim of the paper is to present an approach for production monitoring that was applied for improvement of production flow control in a machines assembly plant. The project regards the improvement of operations management through more efficient production sequence control. Authors present briefly the theoretical background of research and discuss main problems that have appeared by analyses of manufacturing system performance. The performance indicators designed by authors are presented and potential for their application in conditions of the automobile industry is discussed.
