The Analysis of Influence of IBM pSeries Servers´ Virtualization Mechanism on Dynamic Resources Allocation in AIX 5L

This paper presents analysis of the influence of virtualization mechanism pSeries servers on dynamicresources allocation on AIX 5L. This paper raisesaspects of economic resources and distribution ofprocessing power of pSeries servers and someinnovative solutions are proposed as a method ofdynamic resources allocation. These are: micropartitioningand partition load manager utility. In thispaper there are results of experiments are presented;the goal (objective) was to estimate the influence ofselected adjustment of AIX 5L on its efficiency.
