Abstract :
Photoacoustic (PA) frequency heat transmission and heat reflection techniques are analyzed and compared when they are used to investigate thermal, carrier diffusion and carrier recombination processes in semiconducting materials. The thermal diffusivity, coefficient of excess carrier diffusion, carrier surface recombination velocity and lifetime were determined by comparing the experimental results and the calculated theoretical PA signals using both methods.
