Abstract
The concept, realization and experimentally verified characteristics of two types of photoacoustic cells are given. The first type of the PA cells is to detect the PA signal in the so-called transmission detection configuration. This configuration enables us to excite the sample by a modulated optical beam on one side and to detect the PA signal on the other side of the sample. The second type of the PA cells is able to detect PA signal of both sides, on the front (illuminated) and the rear side of the sample. The experimental investigation of the characteristics of the two types of PA cells demonstrates that they are very suitable for the investigation of electronic transport processes in semiconductors.
