Abstract
Partial response binary continuous phase modulation schemes with h = 1/2 can be characterized by a finite number of real-valued impulses C/sub N/(/spl tau/) and D/sub N/(/spl tau/), respectively, in both the lowpass and the bandpass domain at suitably chosen intermediate frequency. An algorithm for the determining of these impulses is presented. The algorithm can be applied in both simulations and experiments, and is therefore suitable for the functional test of modulator ICs.
