Abstract :
Tissue engineering is one of the important approaches for both soft and hard tissue repair and reconstruction. In this approach, scaffolds having highly and open pore structures which would allow an efficient vascularization and therefore the active 3D-cell growth are required. These scaffolds can be used to create soft tissue and organs. The aim of this study is to develop a new, productive and reproducible prefabrication model in rabbits and to test the efficiency of this model with a non-degradable polyacrylamide based cryogel scaffold for studying vascularization and new tissue formation.
