Abstract
Surface integral equation (SIE) solvers [1] are widely used for analyzing electromagnetic interactions with piecewise homogeneous penetrable objects. Here, the well-known Poggio-Miller-Chang-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (PMCHWT) [1] approach is used to formulate a set of SIEs on composite piecewise homogeneous - perfect electrically conducting scatterers, which is solved numerically for the unknown currents via the method of moments (MOM). For this purpose, the surfaces are discretized using curvilinear triangular elements and the unknown currents are expanded using divergence conforming high-order vector basis functions [2].
