Ontology-based data warehouse development process

The Data Warehouse projects confront different communities of practice to create one body of knowledge and help increase companies´ competitive advantage. This paper gives an overview of communication problems on boundaries between participating communities. We have focused on the potential relation between the early creation of language communities of the involved communities and lowering data warehouse projects´ development costs. We provide theoretical foundations for ontology-based data warehouse development scheme proposed in this paper.
