Abstract :
In this work, a room temperature study of the infrared-to-green and infrared-to-red frequency upconversion (UC) processes for nanocrystals of ZrO2 and HfO2 synthesized via a sol-gel technique, singly doped with Er3+ and co-doped by Er3+/Yb3+ ions, with different concentrations was presented. The sample´s excitation was performed in the CW regime at 980 nm.
