Abstract
The development of telecommunications and other services makes it necessary for service providers to come up with new ideas to redefine and enhance their service in order to attract and keep customers. One of the ways of achieving this particular goal is to introduce value-added services that promote the core service. Taking into consideration the rapid growth and development of technology and the increasing presence of value-added services, there is a growing need for efficient management and administration of such services. The development and management of value-added services must be done in accordance with recent world standards and these services must follow the basic principles of existing telecommunication networks, whether they exist separately or as an integral part of the network. Existing standards for telecommunication network management such as ISO FCAPS and ITU-T TMN introduce several network management architectures on different levels of abstraction, but there still exists no defined or standardized architecture for managing a value-added service.
