Abstract :
The routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) problem in WDM(wavelength division multiplexing) all-optical networks was studied. A novel wavelength assignment algorithm-Relative least influence and Relative capacity loss joint algorithm (ICJ) was proposed. Making use of the network status information, ICJ can precisely describe the influence of assigning wavelength to a certain path p*, therefore, network resources can be used more efficiently. Numerical Simulation results show that ICJ is better compared with previously proposed RWA algorithms-RLI and RCL.
