Abstract
The paper deals with design of directional, axially small antennas with circular polarization and the operation bandwidth more than 10%. Elements with different feeding mechanisms (microstrip, proximity and aperture-coupled) and arrays with different feeding alignment (parallel, sequence and serial) are designed using Zeland IE3D solver and verified in CST Microwave Studio. In all cases, simple parametric study on material properties was carried out. Antennas are realized for special radar application in frequency band of 1400 MHz and 2100 MHz and experimental results faced with numerical analysis.
