Abstract :
This paper deals with hydrogen technologies that seem to be very suitable for the storage of electrical energy from renewable sources (RES) with rapidly growing popularity in the Czech Republic - the wind power plants. The hydrogen fuel cells are a fundamental part of this storage system. The paper also describes their operating characteristics at long-term measurement. The conclusive part refers to the research in progress focused on the low temperature hydrogen fuel cells with proton exchange membrane (PEM) under laboratory conditions at VScaronB - Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic).
