Abstract :
Oscillators are present in a wide variety of applications and achieving the target frequency is one of the key challenges when developing such applications. Therefore, the ability to program the frequency to a specific value (either on wafer or on assembled parts) is a very usefull feature, both for range setting and for yield improvement. The architecture of the circuit described in this paper is based on a switched capacitor hysteresis mechanism, and also makes use of a floating gate reference.
